Job title: Social Secretary (Voluntary)
Accountable to: Club Committee
Additional requirements: CRB Check through TMBSC.
Responsible for: Organizing and publicizing social activities.
Skills required: Sound organizational skills, ability to communicate effectively, with strong motivational skills. Friendly, approachable, and extremely enthusiastic about social events.
Time commitment: Minimum 2 hours per week + attendance at meetings.
Main Duties:
1. Arrange venue and date for Annual Presentation evening.
2. Arrange other social activities throughout the year as appropriate for the whole Club membership.
3. Publicize and enthuse about all social events.
4. Prepare and sell tickets for events as needed.
5. Organize raffles and similar fund raising activities.
6. Liaise with the Public Relations Officer regarding any events organized.
7. Attend at least one Personal Development Review every year with either, the Chairman, Vice chairman, Secretary, Treasurer or Head Coach.
8. To attend a minimum of 50% of committee meetings per year.
9. To ensure that the Club achieves and maintains the standards required for Swim21 accreditation.
10. To follow and promote the ASA Code of Ethics.
11. To follow and promote the Clubs Code of Conduct.
12. To follow and promote the ASA Child Protection policy.
