Northern Wave Masters 2026

The Northern Wave meet is always an incredibly welcoming competition, put on by Northern Wave Masters Swimming Club. The atmosphere was incredible, with some very fast swimming to match!

For many, it was a rare opportunity to race long course, after the British Championships being up in Aberdeen! For some, it was a good chance to fine-tune their race skills ahead of an exciting summer of racing. The 26 Trafford swimmers brought home 36 gold, 16 silver, and 9 bronze medals - an incredible medal haul!

Louisa delivered a statement swim in the 50 Backstroke, breaking the Trafford senior record in a time of 30.98.

Other impressive swims came from Jordan, who achieved 1-year PBs in all three of his events; and Molly, who had strong swims in the butterfly events. It was a great day for Trafford Metro, thank you to Northern Wave!
