English Nationals 2026

Trafford Metro turned up the heat in Sheffield at the English National Summer Meet!

We had two incredible finals on the first night. Letian W got us started with a GOLD MEDAL in the 400m IM! She is the NATIONAL CHAMPION! A fantastic swim with frightening closing speed saw her post the fastest time, and her second PB, of the day. Elliott saw that as all the motivation he needed. He went on to secure a brilliant bronze medal in the 200m IM just moments later. He showed excellent opening speed and fought all the way to the touch for 3rd.

Day 2 saw Zoey R continue her momentum with a finals appearance in the 100m Butterfly. She won the silver medal! Zoey was charging hard over the final 25m, closing rapidly on the leader. A superb performance. She was followed by Samuel L who PB'd in the heats and in the final to finish 7th in the 50m Breaststroke. Elliott was back in the pool to finish 12th in the 100m Freestyle.

Day 3 was all about Zoey. She swam to a 10th place finish in the 200m Freestyle, before returning in the evening to produce another excellent swim in the 50m Butterfly final, placing 5th in England. To make three national finals in one championships is incredible!

Day 5 had Letian with a brave performance in the 200m Butterfly and Elliott qualifying for the final in the 200m Backstroke. He went on to secure another bronze medal against a stacked field!

Elliott took on the 400m IM and 50m Freestyle on the final day, finishing an incredibly busy 2 and a half weeks with strong performances.

Well done to all!
