Preston Super Sprints

We kicked off 2026 with a trip to snowy Darwen for the Preston Super Sprints gala. 25 of our swimmers made the long trip up and raced with real grit (and not just because it was icy!).

Without proper blocks or backstroke ledges, the starts were going to be challenging, but our swimmers made up for it with improved underwater skills and technique. There was a lot to be proud of.

It was a great day of racing, and the Trafford team spirit was excellent. During the break, Theo B even planned out the renovations for Sale Leisure Centre!

Special shoutouts to Harry and Huey, who achieved new County times. Huey broke the 40 and 39 second barrier for the first time in the 50 Breaststroke for a regional time!
