Masters Head Coach - This is currently a vacant position

Craig Ward - Club Head Coach

Craig has been our head coach since 2013 during which time he has taken us into the Premier Division of the Arena League from division 2. He has swum at the top level for a number of years and currently holds several Cheshire Masters records for butterfly and freestyle sprint distances. He occasionally takes Masters sessions and always brings lots of enthusiasm down to the poolside.

Jo Bolton - Masters Coach

In addition to coaching squad 6 Jo also coaches the tuesdsay, thursday and saturday morning masters groups. She is a Level 3 coach and swam to National level as an age group swimmer and competed at the Olympic trials. She swims with the masters competitive group and has been a masters national breastroke champion at 50m 100m and 200m. She also holds a relay world record with other members of the squad.

Bob Bolton - Coach and Cheshire Masters Secretary:

In addition to coaching the Youth squad 6, Bob coaches the Monday and Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday Masters sessions. He is a Level 2 qualified teacher/coach, licensed referee and a swimmer. He has served on the club committee since 2007 and is currently the club chairman. He is an elected member of the Cheshire WP & SA Executive and is the Cheshire Masters Secretary. He also sits on the NW Masters committee that was formed in September 2014. In Januray 2016 he was elected to the position of Manchester & District Swimming and Water Polo Association President.

Louisa Zolkiewski  - Adult Improvers' Coach

Lousia joined Trafford Metro as a swimmer in 2008 having started her swimming career with Altrincham Swimming Club.  She competed to a regional level as an age group swimmer and held a number of Manchester and District records for butterfly and backstroke.  She made the natural transition to Masters swimming and has gone onto compete at a National level. She holds her ASA Level 1 Coaching Swimming certificate and her Level 2 Swimming Teacher Certificate.  She is coach for squad 1, and the adult improvers, assisting with squad 4, and covers the occasional masters’ session.

Alan Rowson - North West Masters Committee Representative, Guest Masters' Coach and Club Treasurer:

Alan's position is designed to be the interface between the NW Masters and the Masters Committee who report to the ASA Board. This involves seeking out and representing the interests of the regions masters and participating in the meetings held 3 times a year in Loughborough and to actively pursue the establishment and development of a Masters organisation in the North West Region which encompasses Cheshire, Lancashire, Cumbria and the Isle Of Man. Further information can also be found on the Masters section of the ASA web site Alan is also the Club Treasurer a position he has held since 2012. He is also a lifeguard and maintains his training so that he can provide cover for Masters sessions when required. Alan is also the mastermind behind the age adjusting formula for masters swimming that the ASA adopted in 2012.
