The Mini Mets Swim Scheme will operate from september of 2011 and replaces the Swim Link process.
Mini Mets is the entry level squad to the swimming club. There are 3 sessions available between 12 noon and 2.30 pm on saturdays. The scheme is designed to build on learn to swim schemes from outside the Club environment. The content is geared to preparing young swimmers to progress into a variety of aquatic disciplines including competitive swimming.
Course content includes:
- Stroke refinement - all 4 strokes
- Improve watermanship skills
- Learn advanced breathing techniques
- Learn correct starts from blocks + backstroke
- Learn to turn - front and back tumbles included.
- First steps in learning to train and compete.
- Full ASA badge programme
- 3 fun themed galas per year with prizes.
