The 2020 Cheshire County Swimming Championships took place over 3 weekends from 19th of January to the 2nd of February at Maccelsfield. Trafford Metro Borough Swimming Club (TMBSC) provided a fantastic show.
On the first weekend; on Saturday TMBSC won three golds and three swimmers made the finals. Session 2, on Sunday brought two more golds and four more swimmers in the finals. On the second weekend TMBSC won gold, five silver, two bronze medals and four athletes in the finals.
The final weekend was amazing. A great Saturday of racing from the ladies and the youngsters were amazing. On Saturday; two gold, two silver, five bronze and eight in the finals. Hughes reclaimed her 50 free-style title. On Sunday Emily Conway, Laura Head and Ben Davidson made the skins. The Ladies won gold in the 4x50 free-style, the girls 10-12 year old won the gold 4x50m free-style and mixed 15-16 year-olds won the gold 4x50m free-style relay finals. Boys 13-14 year-olds won the bronze 4x50m free-style relay final.
TMBSC were an overall 7th in Wallace Aggregate Trophy (Senior & Junior Events), and 9th Hugh Laughland Age Group Aggregate Trophy (16/Under) out of 22 teams.
All the TMBSC swimmers were amazing, backed-up by the great coaching team and fantastic parent support.
