TMBSC Training Programme and Competition Calendar

As a Development Club we are providing our swimmers with a programme that is a swimming journey allowing for development of their full potential and to provide enjoyment. Our programme is designed to provide development of technique and fitness through the appropriate level of training (including pool and land training) and selection of specific competition. Through the links with Swim Trafford, the Elite Swimming Squad, we are able to identify talent and fully meet the potential of swimmers considering their age, abilities (physiological, psychological and emotional development), aspirations and commitment. As a result we are able to provide progressive and steady development of a young person without undue stress and pressure.

We compete regularly during the year at external galas. These are primarily the Manchester & District Championships, Bolton & Manchester Championships and Cheshire Championships. Other galas are also attended as the attached competittion calendar below shows. In addition we run internal galas that include a sprint meet, a distance meet and regular Pointscore galas. We also compete as a team in the Peaks & Plains League and the Arena League.
